"I am writing to wish all CPS students, families and staff a restful and joyful April break. At this point in the school year, we are all eager for time to relax, spend time with loved ones, and participate in Spring activities - if the weather cooperates!
Please stay vigilant against COVID-19, which means wearing a mask, washing hands, and staying socially distanced. Travel is still a high-risk activity and CPS strongly encourages that travelers closely follow the state travel advisory.

Like many of you, I will also be taking time to reflect on what has been another difficult week in our country. Ongoing updates in the trial for George Floyd’s murder have many hoping for justice. Details continue to emerge about the violent deaths of Daunte Wright and a young teen in Chicago, while another tragic mass shooting has taken place. We know news of these tragedies continues to impact members of our community. As always, if you need support for you or your child, please contact us.
We’ll see elementary and high school students online and in-person Monday, April 26. A reminder that upper school students (except Amigos) have no school on Monday, April 26 due to a staff planning day in preparation for the expansion of in-person learning on April 28. Take good care and be well."
Sincerely,
Kenneth N. Salim, Ed.D.
Superintendent
