City Of Cambridge Changes Street Occupancy Permit Fees

On Tuesday, February 16, 2021, the Traffic, Parking, and Transportation Department will increase the fees for five types of Street Occupancy Permits, which allow people to reserve parking spaces for various purposes, including for moving vans or containers, dumpsters, and tool trucks.

Moving Container or Crate (40 feet, up to 3 days)

- $200.00 flat fee
- Metered parking fee: $26.00 dollars per day, excluding Sundays
Moving Vans (up to 2 days)
- 20 – 40 feet: $60.00 per day
- Metered parking fee: $13.00 dollars per space per day, excluding Sundays
Tool Trucks (weekly permit)
- Application fee: $100.00 (no change)
- Space reservation fee: $75.00 per 20 foot space per week
- Metered parking fee: $78.00 per space per week
Traffic Clearance (weekly permit)
- Application fee: $100.00 (no change)
- Space reservation fee: $75.00 per 20 foot space per week
- Metered parking fee: $78.00 per space per week
Dumpsters (40 feet, weekly permit)
- Application fee: $100.00 (no change)
- Space reservation fee (first week): $100.00
- Space reservation fee (additional weeks): $125.00 per week
- Metered parking fee: $156.00 per week
