Police responded to a reported carjacking in Harvard Square. After speaking with a witness and an involved person it was determined that no carjacking had occurred.

HOMER AVENUE

A resident of Homer Avenue heard noises like someone was working outside and making noise. When she looked out, she saw two men at her car that they jacked up. She then observed that one of the men was under her car cutting something. By the time she got to her car they had fled the area. Upon arrival, Officers looked underneath her car and could see that the catalytic converter had been cut out and stolen.

Cambridge Police conducted a motor vehicle stop in Central Square. Further investigations revealed the driver, a resident out of Boston, had no inspection sticker and no insurance on his vehicle. The driver will be summonsed for the following crimes: Uninsured Motor Vehicle, and No Inspection Sticker.

Officers responded to a residence on Third Street for a Parking Complaint. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the vehicle in-question, owned by a Roxbury man was Revoked for Insurance. The motor vehicle was towed, and the owner was Summonsed for Uninsured Motor Vehicle.
