Leaders 4SC is a summer workshop for middle school (rising 5th to 10th grade) students on writing and speaking, as well as leadership, communication, decision-making, and advocacy. Our goal is to train the next generation of civic leaders: members of a community who actively participate in society.<a href="https://leaders4sc.org" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">SIGN&nbsp;UP</a>
By the end of each week, students will have<ul><li>Completed at least one writing or speaking assignment arguing for and defending their opinion on any current issues</li><li>Participated in daily discussions and activities on a different major current event every day</li><li>Participated in daily task force activities to role play as key decision makers and stakeholder</li><li>Discussed, debated, and bonded with an incredible group of engaged young people! </li></ul>

We are inviting healthy female teens between the ages of 13-15 to participate in a research study. Teens can earn up to $594 if they qualify and receive a picture of their&nbsp;brain. Researchers at McLean Hospital are investigating how stress may influence mood and brain activity. Teens will answer questions about their thoughts and feelings. Teens will&nbsp;also undergo an fMRI brain scan. Teens will also be asked to fill out very brief surveys on their smartphone and to wear a smartwatch that tracks their heart rate, skin&nbsp;conductance, physical activity (i.e., step count), and sleep patterns. Parent permission is required if under 18 years of age. By participating, you can help them better understand, prevent, and treat adolescent depression. Participants will answer questions about their thoughts and feelings and will also undergo an fMRI brain scan. Parent permission is required for females under 18. Greater Boston Real Estate Market Update: Prices Up, Sales DownAfter a slow start to 2026, single-family and condominium sales rose modestly in April, but were down through the first four months of the year in Greater Boston, according to data compiled by The Warren Group. Greater Boston <a href="https://info.buyersbrokersonly.com/home-listings?patch" target="_blank" rel="noopener nofollow">single-family sales</a> rose by 48 units, a 3 percent increase in April, but were down 2 percent during the first four months of the year compared to the same timeframe in 2025. The Warren Group, a publisher of real estate data, defines Greater Boston as the 139 cities and towns within Interstate 495. The median house price rose 2 percent to $815,000 in April from $799,000 in April 2025. The median price also increased by 2 percent during the January-through-April period to $779,750 from $765,000 during the same period last year.&ndash;&gt;&nbsp;<a href="https://info.buyersbrokersonly.com/guide-to-the-home-buying-process-massachusetts" target="_blank" rel="noopener nofollow">Download the Massachusetts Homebuyer Guide</a><a href="https://info.buyersbrokersonly.com/12-condo-questions" target="_blank" rel="noopener nofollow">Condominium</a> sales rose by 32 units, or almost 3 percent, year over year in April. Sales slipped 2 percent through April compared to the first four months of 2025. Condominium prices in Greater Boston fell in April and through the end of April. The median condo price declined by more than 1 percent to $620,000 in April, down from $629,000 in April 2025. Through the first four months of 2026, the median condo price dropped 5 percent to $595,000 from $625,000 during the same four-month period last year. <a href="https://info.buyersbrokersonly.com/blog/massachusetts-home-prices-rose-in-april-as-sales-slowed" target="_blank" rel="noopener nofollow">Statewide</a>, there were only two months of single-family inventory in April, according to the Massachusetts Association of Realtors. &nbsp;The condo market had about three months of supply. Join poet Wendy Drexler and Dr. Rashmi Kaura of Hebrew SeniorLife’s Wolk Center for Memory Health for a virtual poetry reading and conversation about Drexler’s fourth collection, Harvest of What Remains. Through poetry and personal reflection, Harvest of What Remains shares Drexler’s experience caring for her husband as Alzheimer’s disease gradually changed their lives and relationship.
The program will explore how writing became a powerful tool for processing grief, stress, anger, fear, and moments of uncertainty throughout her caregiving journey. Together, Drexler and Dr. Kaura will discuss how poetry and reflective writing can offer comfort, insight, and emotional support to caregivers throughout the different stages of the caregiving journey.
Wendy Drexler is a recipient of a 2022 artist fellowship from the Massachusetts Cultural Council. Her fourth collection, Harvest of What Remains, received honorable mention for the Paul Nemser Prize and was published in February 2026 by Lily Poetry Review Books. Her work has appeared in The Hudson Review, The Sun, and The Threepenny Review, among others. She was awarded the 2025 E.E. Cummings Prize from the New England Poetry Club, where she currently serves on the advisory board.
Rashmi Kaura, MD is a palliative care and geriatric specialist at the Deanna and Sidney Wolk Center for Memory Health. She is board certified in hospice and palliative care, geriatric medicine, and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She completed her Bachelor of Science in pharmacology and basic medical sciences from King’s College in London, England. She received her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from King’s College School of Medicine and Dentistry. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Overlook Medical Center and her fellowship in geriatrics and palliative care at Mount Sinai Medical Center.
