Display ducks in Harvard Square at Bank of America

The Ocean River Institutes invites people to help put the ducks back on display in Harvard Square. They maintained a window display on Mount Auburn Street from 2007 to 2017, a decade of ducks on display. Ocean conservation images and messages were exhibited and people liked to pause by the marine life. Parents were overheard in the Post Office saying after this we’ll go see the ducks. A woman from France was seen at the display window looking at the illustration drawn by local artist Dina Chapeau. She was noting what Americans call monk fish. Very appropriate since Cambridge resident Julia Child introduced us to fine cuisine of monk fish, a particularly ugly fish with a baited bear trap mouth. People passing by enjoyed the large photo image of a vibrant Boston Harbor with sailing ships and recreational boats on the water. In August, the display window was closed.

Individuals, families and businesses in Cambridge and across the nation are calling on the Bank of America to honor the request put forward by an officer of the banks largest branch office (Harvard Square) to mount Ocean River Institute exhibits with ocean conservation messages in their display window fronting Out of Town News and the T Station.
