East Cambridge Savings Bank Employees Donate Backpacks to East End House Kids
East End House, back to school, East Cambridge Savings Bank
Every child deserves to be prepared for school. Sometimes one’s ability to succeed depends on simple, physical items like backpacks, pencils, notebooks and other supplies. East Cambridge Savings Bank employee, Lauren Belmonte, had an idea that spread like wildfire through all the Banking Centers. Employees went shopping and donated backpacks, school supplies, art supplies and so much more. Almost 30 backpacks were filled and donated them to East End House.
Camille Platt, Child Care Program Director at East End House said she was "overwhelmed
by the response and the backpacks are going to make some children very, very happy." It was a true team effort by Team ECSB and just one example of how the Bank's employees love to give back to the community.
