Easter Sunday at Beat Brasserie

Beat Brasserie Hosts Family-Friendly Easter Brunch and Lively Easter Dinner Complete a Special Tribute to "Kind of Blue"


WHAT: On Sunday, March 27th, 2016, Beat Brasserie invites diners to join them for a family-friendly Easter celebration featuring a seasonal à la carte brunch, dinner specials, an Easter egg hunt and live music performances all day long.From 9:30AM-3:30PM, early risers will enjoy Beat’s delicious à la carte brunch menu featuring a selection of seasonal dishes crafted by Executive Chef Ignacio Lopez including Greek Easter Lemon Lamb Soup ($11),Spiced Carrot Soup with Roasted Chickpeas & Tahini ($9.50), Bibb Lettuce Salad ($11), and entrées such as Easter Eggs Benedict with Roast Spiral Ham ($22), Roast Beef ($24) or Main Peekytoe Crab Cake ($23), Roast Lamb Shoulder with Tomatoes, Oregano, Spring Peas & Whipped Potatoes($29), and Triple Cheese Quiche with Spinach, Broccoli & Sun-Dried Tomato ($20). Beat’s “flower children” ages ten and under will have their own menu to choose from including Kids Scrambled Eggs & Toast ($12), Chicken Dinos with Frites ($12) and Kiddie French Toast ($12) before running off to participate in the annual Easter egg hunt. Adults will have their own entertainment with live jazz performances featuring theSteve Kirby Trio from 10:00AM-1:00PM and Lefteris Kordis Trio featuring contemporary jazz from 1:30PM-4:30PM.Those looking to hit the town in the evening will savor Beat’s array of seasonally-inspired dinner specials with an electric twist and accompanying live music from 5:00PM-10:00PM. Easter specials will be served à la carte alongside Beat’s traditional menu including favorites such as Clams Valencia steamed in white wine, garlic, parsley, and almonds ($12.50), Skirt Steak Frites with peppercorn jus, green bean salad, and cornichons ($26), and Bowl Azteca served with adoba-spiced quinoa, tomatillo salsa, fresh corn, squash, green beans, avocado, and baby spinach ($23-$25). Guests can celebrate with libations off the Beat’s cocktail list including theGrapefruit Julep, mint vodka, pomegranate and grapefruit ($12) and Something Natural, cilantro, Hanson cucumber vodka, lime ($12.50). Wine enthusiasts will appreciate Beat Brasserie’s acclaimed wine list featuring36 American artisanal wines on tap and an acclaimed reserve list.

Live music performances all evening long will include Daniela Schachter with her jazz vocals and piano trio from 5:00PM-8:00PM and a performance of "Kind of Blue," the famous Miles Davis/John Coltrane album reinterpreted by The Phil Grenadier and George Garzone Quartet from 8:00PM-12:00AM.Boston-based Grenadier has made sideman appearances on albums by Bob Belden, Owen Howard, Harvey Wainapel, Bob Nieske, and Melissa Kassel. His debut recording, Sweet Transients, was released in 2000. The album documents Grenadier's highly developed improvisational and band-leading skills, as well as his connections with fine young players such as Seamus Blake, Ethan Iverson, and Bill Stewart.Easter dinner specials are available in addition to the regular dinner menu.
