Hospice of Cambridge volunteers recognized for work on behalf of de Rham Hospice Home and VNA Hospice & Palliative Care
Volunteers provide critical support to hospice home in Cambridge for terminally ill and care in patients' homes.

VNA Hospice & Palliative Care recently celebrated the contributions of volunteers and supporters during an appreciation luncheon.
The nonprofit hospice program offers physical, emotional, practical and spiritual support for terminally ill patients of all ages. Patients’ loved ones also receive care and support, including bereavement services. Care is most often provided in patients’ homes. When remaining at home is not possible or optimal, the Elizabeth Evarts de Rham Hospice Home in Cambridge provides a homelike alternative to live and receive care. The palliative care program provides pain and symptom management for people with chronic or advanced illnesses who are seeking curative treatment.
Volunteers support end-of-life care in the Cambridge area in a variety of ways. Members of the Hospice of Cambridge Development Committee raise awareness about hospice, palliative care and advanced care planning through community education programs. The group also organizes fundraising events and appeals that provide critical support for the de Rham Hospice Home and hospice care in patients’ homes.
