Put your pride aside and take some tutoring

Back at home, you were the star of your high school. Every test you aced, every assignment you passed with flying colors and the most rewarding aspect was that - you accomplished all of those honor awards by yourself! Except, college is a different ball game. Especially if you’re in Boston’s top schools. Nevertheless, don’t be afraid to go to office hours for more help or sign up for a tutoring session offered by your school. It’s important to know early that you need to take advantage of every resource presented to you.

Take advantage of the resources in your school

Following our previous tip, if your college is offering abroad study programs - go for it! When was the last time someone walked up to you and said “pick any country you want and we’ll arrange that you study there,” for a semester or even for a year! It’ll also give you a chance to step outside of your comfort zone and explore new cultures, countries and histories you’ve never known.

Join a student organization group

Haven’t you noticed that your closest friends share the same interest at you? So join an organization filled with peers of yours that share the same passion as you! Whether its an investment group, a poetry club, a culture group or even the campus’ student body - get involved and network with others. Who knows’ you’ll probably meet additions to your Spring Break group! ;)
