Judge Brett Kavanaugh Will Not Teach At Harvard This Year: Dean

The news comes following pressure from students who penned an oped and then walked out of class demanding the school investigate him.

BOSTON, MA — Harvard Law School announced this week that Judge Brett Kavanaugh will not be returning to teach in January, following pressure from students.

“Today, Judge Kavanaugh indicated that he can no longer commit to teaching his course in January Term 2019, so the course will not be offered,” Associate Dean and Dean for Academic and Faculty Affairs Catherine Claypoole wrote in an e-mail to students.

Kavanaugh has taught a class at Harvard Law School since 2008, and was scheduled to return to teach a course called “The Supreme Court Since 2005.”

However, last week students walked out of class after four Harvard Law School students co-wrote an op-ed in the Harvard Law Record calling on the law school to investigate sexual assault claims by Christine Blasey Ford, who was the first to step forward and accuse Kavanaugh, and reconsider bringing him back onto campus as a teacher.
