MA Companies On Fortune's 'Best To Work For' In 2018 List
See which Bay State companies topped Fortune's list this year.

Two Massachusetts-based companies and 11 others with their largest location in the Bay State are among the 100 best in the country to work for in 2018, according to a new list released by Fortune.
The No. 1 company on the list was Salesforce, which Fortune credits for forging an “unusual corporate culture from the beginning.” Salesforce has paid out $5.5 million to employees who have referred new hires and they help strong performers find new challenges.
The grocery chain Wegmans was No. 2 on the list. Fortune says employees at the company find the work fulfilling and it gives them a sense of purpose.

The two Massachusetts-based companies that made the list are:
The Boston Consulting Group (National Rank: 4)
The Boston Consulting Group has been on the list for 13 years and has 14,000 employees globally. According to Fortune, the company is prized for its “equality of opportunity” and work/life balance makes employees happier.

Kronos (National Rank: 81)
Kronos, based in Lowell, is new to the list and employs 3,523 workers. The employees here “feel like a family,” Fortune says. The company provides flexible work arrangements, unlimited paid time off and help with student loans.

- Nvidia (National Rank: 30) - Westford
- Cadence (National Rank: 38) - Chelmsford
- Cisco (National Rank: 48) - Boxborough
- Slalom Consulting (National Rank: 54) - Boston
- PriceWaterhouseCoopers (National Rank: 56) - Boston
- Hyland (National Rank: 75) - Andover
- Autodesk Inc. (National Rank: 80) - Boston
- Alliance Data Systems (National Rank: 82) - Wakefield
- Abbvie (National Rank: 97) - Worcester, Cambridge
- Delta Airlines (National Rank: 98) - Boston
To be considered for the list, a company has to have at least 1000 employees, according to Fortune. The list measured companies in the U.S. on characteristics like innovation and people-focused programs. Fortune scores each company on an analysis of anonymous employee responses to a survey along with an evaluation of company programs and practices. You can read more about Fortune’s methodology here.
Fortune said it received feedback from more than 315,000 employees to determine the winners.
