From Bluegrass Covers to Original Songs

"Life After Life" features a mix of original songs and reimagined covers. Originals like "We Just Happened to Fly" and "Ride Towards Home" explore themes of faith and connection. The album also features their take on classics by Stevie Wonder, Jason Isbell, and Dolly Parton. Dolly Parton herself even praised their rendition of "Wildflowers."

A Unique Recording Experience

"Life After Life" boasts a rich, all-acoustic Americana sound. The recording features a variety of instruments, including a Civil War-era Martin guitar, a century-old Gibson mandocello, and even a string quartet.

The Album Concludes with a Special Duet

The album closes with a poignant violin duet, a return to the roots of Mark and Maggie's musical journey. The piece is based on a Ukrainian folk song "Verbovaya Doschechka" learned from members of the Kyiv Symphony Orchestra during an online collaboration in 2022.
