The free Takeout Technology program was launched last August to extend patron access to technology resources during the Covid-19 public health crisis. Since they were introduced earlier this year, mobile hotspots have been a popular item on the list of tech resources offered for checkout by the Library. Mobile Hotspots bundled with Chromebook laptops are available at the Main Library as well as the Central Square, Valente and O’Neill branches. Individual hotspots and Chromebooks are also available for checkout at the Main Library.

For detailed instructions on how to reserve and pick up these devices, please visit the Takeout Technology Service webpage. Takeout Technology is supported by the City of Cambridge, the Cambridge Public Library Foundation and Google Cambridge.
