New Furniture Store 'With A Soul' Opens On Memorial Drive
Nadeau doesn't offer catalog or e-commerce option.

CAMBRIDGE, MA — Joining the likes of Wayfair and Bed Bath And Beyond comes Nadeau to the Cambridge, Boston area. The home furnishing store just opened Microcenter and Trader Joe's on Memorial Drive. What sets them apart? Their owner calls it Furniture With a Soul, where everything is made by hand - and it's less of a fancy show room, and more of a warehouse scavenger hunt experience.
And one more thing: The store doesn't offer catalog or e-commerce options. It's throw back to old-school brick-and-mortar business. All sales are done in-store where the staff still write invoices by hand.
"This is our first step into the Boston metro area, state of Massachusetts and New England region,” said company president Brian Pickler. “This area has such a rich history and strong architecture and design culture."

Nadeau was founded by Tom Nadeau in 1991 on the idea that great handmade furniture should be attainable. It appears prices range from $6 to more than $1,000 for furnishings.
The first item listed on their website in the Boston store is a 2 DOOR MEDIA STAND for $291.00. They also have a cement tile planter for $7.

The 4,675 square-foot store features a constantly evolving inventory of handcrafted, solid wood and metal furniture and accessories ranging from contemporary and industrial to farmhouse and traditional imported from local artisans from India to Indonesia.
The official opening of Nadeau in Cambridge earlier this month marked the furniture store's 40th location.
"We’re looking forward to building lasting relationships with people in surrounding communities and tailoring our products to complement local tastes and styles," said Pickler.

The store, located at 750 Mem Drive open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays. For more information, visit furniturewithasoul.com/boston
