Officer on Leave After Hit-And-Run Involving Bicyclist

The driver, reportedly an off-duty officer, allegedly fled the scene. The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.

CAMBRIDGE, MA - A Cambridge police officer was placed on paid administrative leave while the department investigates his alleged involvement in a hit-and-run Sunday night that sent a bicyclist to the hospital, according to reports.

The victim, a 32-year-old female, was hit at the intersection of Broadway and Porter St., police said. She was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver, reportedly an off-duty officer, allegedly fled the scene. It is unknown whether charges will be filed against the officer, who police have not yet named.
