Only Winning $1M Powerball Ticket Sold In Massachusetts
The only Powerball ticket in the country to hit all five numbers was sold in at a Massachusetts Star Market in Cambridge.
CAMBRIDGE, MA — Someone out there who played Saturday night's Powerball is sitting pretty. A $1 million winning ticket was purchased for the July 6 drawing, but no one has come forward as the winner as of Monday morning, lottery officials said.
The ticket was sold at Star Market at 49 White St. in Cambridge. The five winning numbers on the ticket were 4-8-23-46-65.
The Powerball was 1, and if the winner hit that he or she would have taken home the $165 million grand prize, which has a $109 million cash payout. The winner also didn't play the Power Play, which would have doubled the $1 million prize.
