Strum Along to Taylor Swift's Hits: New Class at Passim.

A new guitar class at Passim’s School of Music will explore ‘Why is Taylor Swift’s music so catchy?’ The Passim School of Music will host Songs of Taylor Swift on March 7 dedicated to learning and mastering the songs of Taylor Swift, taught by Janet Feld, an experienced and acclaimed guitar instructor. Whether guests are Swiftie or simply looking to expand their musical repertoire, this class promises an enriching and enjoyable experience. Responding to the enthusiastic interest from several students, Janet is thrilled to bring this unique opportunity to the Passim community. The class is designed for individuals with a relative comfort level with playing bar chords.

In this engaging and dynamic class, participants will dive into the theory and techniques that make Taylor Swift’s music so captivating. The curriculum integrates the practical application, providing an immersive learning experience.

While prior experience with reading guitar tabs is beneficial, it is not a prerequisite for joining the class. Feld emphasizes a holistic approach to learning, ensuring students have a well-rounded understanding of the technical aspects and artistic nuances of Taylor Swift's music.

Janet is also an award-winning performing songwriter, appearing at folk festivals and coffeehouses from coast to coast for nearly three decades.
