Swet Studio Offers The Challenge

Boston's Aerial and Fitness Studio in the South End is Holding Boot Camp Style Workouts in Addition to Other Group Classes for Women and Men

Transformation is a process of change, of becoming something new. The Challenge, a mojo transformation class at Swet Studio™, http://www.swetstudio.com, is a means to that end. The one hour, group fitness class offered by Swet Studio, South End, is a boot camp style “event” specifically designed for people who want to transform their lives. The strength class involves anintense, full body workout and targets all of the major muscle groups. With rolling battle ropes, slamming sand bells, swinging medicine balls, climbing, and crunching of abs, Mojo Transformation is intense.http://www.swetstudio.com/build/

Swet Studio™ http://www.swetstudio.com, located on Tremont Street in Boston’s South End, is the brainchild of the Bulgarian born fitness guru, Silviya Mihaylova. Upon entering the studio, one encounters a chic industrial space, with an open, airy feel. Metal and wood meet beneath a soaring, purple cathedral ceiling. The studio’s smiling instructors appear genuinely to enjoy what they do and are devoted to providing a fun and non-intimidating group experience. Mihaylova describes the studio as being an alternative to the average fitness and dance studio:

“A few years ago, I wanted a place where my friends and I could go to take classes, and when I looked around the Boston landscape, I could not find anything like what we have developed in the South End.”

According to Mihaylova, getting in shape is means of transforming the body and mind. “One of the biggest issues people face is overcoming the mental and emotional hurdle of just getting started. The easiest thing in the world is to pick up the phone or send us an email, and we will work with you.” Several years ago, before opening Swet Studio ™, Mihaylova ran an early morning bootcamp in the MetroWest area, and she describes “motivation,” as being the key to its success. She has incorporated the concept of “pushing to the limit” in the VO2 Max, interval workout, The Challenge.

In addition to The Challenge, Swet Studio offers a variety of other group fitness classes, ranging from classes for beginners, such as Get Started, an introductory class on form and movement, http://www.swetstudio.com/build/, to classes such as Marino Madness,http://www.swetstudio.com/slim-down/, a sweat drenched, High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) type workout, that is easy on the joints. According to Mihyalova,

”With Marino Madness, in order to experience the true potential of resistance bands, we’ve created a raw, real, and effective workout that offers modifications for those that are looking to sweat and tone. Its like HIIT without breaks, which is the ’madness.’”

Swet Studio™ also offers Boston’s only licensed AntiGravity® (aerial yoga) and AIRbarre (aerial +barre) classes, offered by certified instructors versed in the principles, technique, and philosophy of the exciting aerial program. Founded by the world renowned gymnast and aerial choreographer, Christopher Harrison, AntiGravity® has already swept the West Coast, New York, and Europe, and is featured in exclusive venues such as Madonna’s Hard Candy Fitness and Richard Branson’s Virgin Active.

In harmony with its aerial yoga program, Swet Studio™ also offers a floating, guided mediation class called Levitation, where you can relax and experience the calm of guided meditation, while suspended in a floating silk hammock. Whether your boss is ticking you off, your kids are driving you crazy, or you are just on edge, this 30 -45 minute class allows for escape from the pressures of daily life. http://www.swetstudio.com/inner-strength.
