Saving trees is like saving a child from bullying.The child is being harassed but there is not much you can do but complain to the teacher and the Principal. A life of a tree in Cambridge is constantly being , ' bullied' because developers have carte blanche in whatever they want using the special permit and with holding all the tree information to the Planning Board.You may say, 'who cares'? I have seen too many occasions where city officials change their minds and support developers .Too many trees have fallen victim to cutting without proper procedures , circumventing tree ordinances.We must watch for properties being sold and whom is the buyer. Why? A developer comes in
next door to you, creates havoc for you because they lied for their own selfish reasons, creating flood problems for your property.
Public housing is important but to what extent do developers manipulate the system and trees are the victim. Build housing but don't 'bully' others to think you are more important than the cities tree canopy!
