Vice-Mayor McGovern's 3rd Annual Winter Warmth Drive

Help keep our homeless warm this winter.

Dear Friends,

Winter is fast approaching and while many of us have a warm bed to rest each night, many in our community do not. While serving food to the homeless two years ago a woman asked me to help her get some blankets. It was then that I launched the first Winter Warmth Drive. That year, with the help of the Harvard Square Business Association, The Central Square Business Association, the Kendall Square Association and so many concerned people like yourself from Cambridge and beyond, we raised close to $10,000 for the purchase of wool blankets for our homeless. Last year, for the 2nd drive, we raised close $12,000. This year we are looking to raise $15,000 for the purchase of winterized sleeping bags.

I am once again turning to our community to help in making a difference in the lives of our most vulnerable. Please click on the link below and make a donation and then share with your friends. The fast we can reach our goal, the sooner we can purchase the sleeping bags and help people stay warm this winter. Thank you.
