A walk in the Hill
Walk the small streets of Beacon Hill to discover or re-discover the area, explore the Vilna Shull, the Massachusetts State House, & more.
Now that it will hopefully be soon time to put these umbrellas away, and that the temperature will again reach comfortable levels to walk, don't you think a visit to one of the nicest neighborhoods of Boston, and surely one of the oldest, should be on your to-do list?
If you still wonder, Walk in Boston has done it for you, and suggest a two miles self guided tour (2 to 4 hours depending of what you decide to do, half indoor, half outdoor), to discover or re-discover the area.
If you live there, you'll think you surely know everything there is to see, but do you really? Charles Street has no secret for you, I'm sure, but what about the Museum of Medical History, the Vilna Shul, or the Boston Athenaeum? Have you ever enter the State House? These are some of the places Walk in Boston explored and photographed before putting them on a map you'll get on the site, and be able to access quickly on your cell phone.

Even if you've been everywhere already, can you really get tired of wandering these pretty tree lined streets when the weather is fair, the houses decorated, and the flowers in bloom?
Give it a try, and you won't regret it, feeling like a tourist again in your own neighborhood. A good way to travel when you just have half a day to do so, and don't feel like getting stuck in traffic.

The link to this specific itinerary is here, but Walk in Boston has 17 others tours available for you, some starting at your door like the Walk in Boston # 11, Beacon Hill and surrounding parks, others a bit further but all accessible by the T.
Enjoy !
