Zero Waste In Cambridge? City Wants To Know Your Take

City officials have their eyes set reducing waste to 80 percent by 2020, now they're asking residents to weigh in.

CAMBRIDGE, MA, — What if Cambridge became a no-waste city? They're working on it and they want your input. The city has set goals to reduce waste 30 percent by 2020, and 80 percent by 2050, using 2008 as a baseline.

Now officials are looking for feedback on the Zero Waste Master Plan they've put together.

Head to a public forum on Tuesday, Dec. 18, from 6-8 p.m., at Cambridge Public Library Lecture Hall, 449 Broadway. to put your two cents in.

The Zero Waster Master Plan is supposed to serve as a guide to help the city meet waste reduction goals, manage costs, and engage the community in reducing our impact on the environment and climate change.
