2 Men Sentenced After Canton Armed Robbery

The defendants await trial for two other armed robberies in Brockton that prosecutors said occurred days after the Canton robbery.​​

DEDHAM, MA — Two men were sentenced after prosecutors found them guilty of an armed robbery of a Canton gas station in October 2017.

Fernando Quade, of Canton, and Reginald Boiteux, of Brockton, both pleaded guilty to one count of armed robbery at separate court dates last month. Quade, who held the gun during the robbery was sentenced to four to five years in prison while Boiteux faces a four-year sentence.

On Oct. 19, 2017, Quade and Boiteux robbed Prestige Car Wash and Gas at gunpoint, police said. Police said the men came in wearing mask and stole about $250 from the store located at 955 Turnpike St.

The Norfolk County district attorney’s office told Patch the sentences were agreed upon between Assistant District Attorney Phil Burr and defense attorneys Lisa Freiji and James Gavigan. Quade and Boiteux still await trial for two other armed robberies in Brockton that prosecutors said occurred days after the Canton robbery.
