Blue Hills Regional students send an important message not to text or drink and drive

The battered car in front of Blue Hills Regional Technical School in Canton in the photo sends an important message to drivers of all ages to pay 100% attention to what they are doing…and that means NO texting or drinking and driving! (Photo by Judy Bass.)
The eye-catching sign was made by Blue Hills Construction Tech students Annalece White and Andriana Minasi, both freshmen, and Mayra Contreras-Gonzales, a junior.
It was designed by Blue Hills Design & Visual Communications Instructor Joann Murphy with juniors Jasmin Fernandes and Devin Sullivan.

Senior members of the school's chapters of SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) and Student Council worked together to include texting as the cause of the annual Police Rescue Scene on May 16, when a demonstration at the school was held with the assistance of School Resource Officer Scott Connor of the Canton Police Dept. to indicate the consequences of impaired or distracted driving, two major concerns during graduation and prom season.
