“Breast cancer is an extraordinarily complex disease that, in spite of the many clinical and scientific advances we’ve made in the past decade, will likely take the lives of 40,000 people in the United States this year. The funds raised by Boston Bakes will enable us to continue our research to better understand both the causes and the many subtypes of breast cancer, which will help us to devise more effective treatments,” said Winer.
