Erin Galvin, a junior in Cosmetology from Braintree, spoke to the audience about the wonderful experience she had going to the RYLA conference thanks to the generosity of Canton Rotary.

In addition to the Rotarians, many parents and Blue Hills staff were present, including Superintendent James Quaglia, a Neponset Valley Rotarian; Assistant Superintendent / Principal Michael Barrett; Coordinator of Cooperative Education and Post-Secondary Transition Kimberly Poliseno, a member of the Neponset Valley Rotary; Joseph Pascarella of Dedham, Chairman of the Blue Hills Regional District School Committee and past president of the Neponset Valley Rotary; and Communications Specialist Judy Bass, who coordinated and emceed the event.

The students each addressed the crowd briefly about their future plans and then were awarded certificates to commemorate their honors.

The delicious breakfast was prepared and served by Blue Hills’ Culinary Arts students under the supervision of Lead Teacher John Haelsen with Chefs David Green and Richard Spada.
