The Longy Conservatory Orchestra Perform for Students at the Boston Higashi School in Randolph

Flutist Marco Granados and the Longy Conservatory Orchestra perform for students at the Boston Higashi School in Randolph, MA.

"Students with autism are often unable attend concerts in a traditional setting," says conductor Julian Pellicano. "As a result, many of the Higashi School students have never heard an entire live orchestra before. We decided to bring the concert hall to them, so they could experience the orchestra on their own terms."

Longy School of Music of Bard College emphasizes community engagement as an essential part of musicians' work.
