Boston, MA – May 1, 2013 – This Mother’s Day, you can honor your mother or other special woman in your life with a beautifully designed card that delivers a warm greeting to your mother and support women in need. For a $25 donation, The Women’s Lunch Place will send a hand-signed card on your behalf, with proceeds helping to serve the record-number of poor and homeless women in Greater Boston this Mother’s Day.
The Mother’s Day cards are currently available online at www.womenslunchplace.org, and beginning May 9, they will be available for purchase at Tasti D-Lite, 205 Newbury Street, Boston, MA and at Hammond Residential Real Estate’s South End office located at Atelier 505, 10 Berkeley Street, Boston, MA. For the first time, the cards will also be available in the Food Court at The Shops at Prudential Center. Cards may be purchased from 11 a.m.-6 p.m., May 9-11 at the Prudential Center.
The cards feature artwork by an artist served by the Women’s Lunch Place. Last year, more than 3,000 handwritten cards were purchased, raising $86,000. “Proceeds from the Mother’s Day card campaign help us provide nutritious meals to hundreds of deserving women on Mother’s Day and throughout the year,” explained Women’s Lunch Place Interim Executive Director Sue Morong.
