Bank of Canton Donates to St. Boniface Haiti Foundation

Funds help support education and healthcare programs in Haiti.

Stephen P. Costello, President and CEO of , is pleased to announce the Bank’s recent donation of $2,500 to the St. Boniface Haiti Foundation. This contribution supported the organization’s annual fundraiser which helped raise awareness for its healthcare, education, and community development programs in Haiti.

This year’s event, “Looking Back and Reaching Beyond: The Story of the St. Boniface Haiti Foundation,” was held September 13 at Granite Links Golf Club in Quincy, MA. More than 450 attendees were on hand to celebrate the past, present, and future of the organization, and pay tribute to retired President and CEO Nannette Canniff for her 28 years of service to Haiti.

“The St. Boniface Haiti Foundation was excited to welcome our friends at the Bank of Canton as supporters to our annual fundraising event,” said Alysia Mueller, Communications Officer of the St. Boniface Haiti Foundation. “It was a successful night thanks to the participation of the local community. All the funds raised will go directly to supporting St. Boniface operations in Haiti, where we work to serve the poorest of the poor.”

“For nearly three decades, Nannette Canniff has been a driving force at the St. Boniface Haiti Foundation helping improve the quality of life in the Haitian community,” said Mr. Costello. “The Foundation played a vital role in the relief efforts following last year’s devastating earthquake, and Nannette has made it her life-work responding to the needs of the Haitian people. The St. Boniface Haiti Foundation, located in Randolph, is a non-profit, organization founded in 1983 by the parishioners of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Quincy, Massachusetts. For over 25 years, it has served those who suffer from extreme poverty in rural Haiti, providing healthcare through the St. Boniface Hospital and clinic and education and community development programs to the communities it serves.
