Birds As Art: The Photography of Arthur Morris to exhibit in Canton starting September 29th

Arthur Morris is widely recognized as one of the world’s premier bird photographers and nature photography educators.

For 23 years he taught elementary school in New York City before dedicating his energies full-time to free-lance bird photography and sharing his knowledge of the subject through lectures, seminars and instructional photo tours. His 1998 book, The Art of Bird Photography, became the classic work on bird photography and is now in digital release.

Morris has won numerous awards both nationally and internationally, and has published more than 20,000 images in magazines including Audubon, Birder’s World, Bird Watcher’s Digest, Living Bird, National Geographic, Natural History, Nature Photographer and Outdoor Photographer, as well as in hundreds of books and calendars.

He has had exhibitions at the Roger Tory Peterson Institute in NY and at the National Zoo in Washington, DC. For nearly two decades he has been one of Canon’s Explorers of Light (EOL), a group of influential photographers who are masters of their creative specialties. Now he continues as an EOL Emeritus.
