Blue Hills Regional to host Post-Secondary Planning Night
This event was postponed from March 14 due to the weather. It is free and starts at 5:30 p.m.
On Wednesday, April 4, 2018, the Blue Hills Guidance Department will host its first annual Post-Secondary Planning Night. Families and parents/guardians of students from all grade levels, especially those of current 11th grade students, are encouraged to attend. Childcare will be available with Blue Hills Student Ambassadors and National Honor Society volunteers for younger children. A light dinner will be served. This event is free. The school is located at 800 Randolph Street in Canton.
The event will begin in the Blue Hills cafeteria at 5:30 p.m., with remarks of welcome and an overview of the evening’s agenda, and will run until 7:30 p.m.
Session I will last from 5:45 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. in Room 207A featuring representatives from the military, including the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force and U.S. Marines. Union representatives will be available in the library. Representatives of two-year and technical colleges will be in Room 205, including Massasoit Community College and Universal Technical Institute (UTI) to discuss their application process and available programs. Representatives from University of Maine, Framingham State University, and Lesley University will discuss the four-year college/university application process.

Session II from 6:20 p.m. to 6:50 p.m., and Session III from 6:55 p.m. to 7:25 p.m., will be held in the same locations with the same representatives.
Parents/families will spend 30 minutes each at three of the above workshops.
