Blue Hills Regional Technical School in Canton Receives Generous Donation of Equipment from the Wyndham Boston Beacon Hill Hotel for Students in Its HVAC Program

Blue Hills Regional Technical School in Canton recently received a generous donation of equipment from the Wyndham Boston Beacon Hill Hotel that the students in its HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration) program will be using to practice their skills and learn their craft.
This donation was facilitated by Blue Hills Regional District School Committee Chairman and Blue Hills alumnus Aidan G. Maguire, Jr. of Canton, who owns Boston Mechanical Services, Inc., a Stoughton-based company that installs, services and repairs furnaces and air conditioning units for residential and commercial clients. Mr. Tim Kindy, Director of Engineering at the hotel, who has known Mr. Maguire professionally for many years, was also instrumental in arranging the donation. The school extends its sincere thanks to him and the hotel’s General Manager, Mr. Tom Chmura, for their generosity.
Mr. Kindy noted that the Wyndham Boston Beacon Hill has a program run by some of its employees called “Count on Me” which enables them to give back to the community in various humanitarian or philanthropic ways. This donation to Blue Hills is very much in keeping with the spirit of that charitable initiative.

“Being in vocational education for over 16 years,” said Howley, “I know how valued donations are to our programs that will allow our students to gain invaluable experience and the satisfaction that it gives businesses and individuals to know they helped to contribute to the knowledge and skills our students will receive from their generosity.”
