Patch: St. Patrick's Day is coming up. Do you anything special planned?
Tom Cahillane: Yes we do. As many of you may know we have live music every weekend. On St. Patrick's Day we will be having the live music of Max Courtney most of the afternoon from 2-5 p.m. Our line up of musical artists includes Randy Davis, who will be performing March 23 and again on April 27, as well as Chachi Leivi and many others. Check our calendar for more artists.

Patch: Is it true that you have a drink of the week?
Tom Cahillane: We do, and each week it changes, but it's always just $3.50. It's very popular with our customers.
Patch: And you have the "8 for $8" deal each month as well?
Tom Cahillane: Our $8 meals also change each month. There will be eight meals on the menu that are $8 for the whole meal. It's quite a deal.
Patch: In 2012, you sponsored the Halfway Cafe 5K Road Race to help support cops for kids with cancer. Are there any plans for a second race this year?
Tom Cahillane: The first annual road race took place in June 2012, during which $25,000 was Raised for Cops for Kids with Cancer. We do plan on having our second 5K in June of this year as well. We had an outstanding turn out of runners and hope to have more this year.
Patch: Any other special events?
Tom Cahillane: We will host Ceramics a la Carte here for their Martini Monday or Merlot Monday. Halfway Cafe supplies the appetizers and the men and women come here to paint their wine or martini glass. Cathy Walsh, owner of Ceramics a la Carte, will then have the finished glasses a few days later, ready to be picked up at her store just a few doors down.
Patch: Do you have any featured wines?
Tom Cahillane: The Phantom Gourmet red chianti, and a sauvignon blanc.
The Halfway Cafe also offers Keno and free popcorn to its patrons. Large TV screens surround the bar and a friendly staff makes an evening there all the more enjoyable. Visit Halfway Cafe on Facebook or call 781-821-0944 for more information.
