Canton Accepting Nomination Papers For 2019 Town Election

Find out what positions are on the Canton ballot in 2019.

CANTON, MA — Town election season is officially open. Nomination papers for the town election on April 2 are now available.

Voters in 2019 will have plenty of decisions to make, 10 positions are up for a vote on the April ballot. Candidates have until Feb. 8 to pick up nomination papers, and until Feb. 12 to collect at least 50 signatures and withdraw the papers. Make sure to check back here to see who's running.

The following positions will be on the ballot:

  • Board of Selectmen - Three-year term
  • Board of Selectmen - Two-year term to fill a vacancy
  • Board of Assessors - Three-year term
  • Board of Health - Three year term.
  • School Committee (two positions) - Three-year term
  • Planning Board - Five-year term
  • Trustees of Public Library (three positions) - Three-year term
