The Canton Community Theatre presents August: Osage County

The Canton Community Theatre is proud to present on stage Tracy Lett’s powerful production August: Osage County. Her play won the 2008 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and the Tony Award for Best Play, as well as the Drama Desk Award for Best New Play.
Tracy Lett’s play tells the story of the Westons, a large extended family that comes together at their Oklahoma home when the family patriarch disappears. This forces them to confront unspoken truths and secrets. The family must also contend with Violet Weston, the matriarch of the Weston family, a pill-popping, deeply unsettled woman at the center of this storm. Ms. Letts powerful production exposes relationships between unforgettable characters who present themselves with unflinching honesty and exposes the dark side of this Midwestern American family.
The cast consists of Dori Bryan from Holbrook as Violet Weston, Renee Hanscom from Canton as Barbara Fordham, Aoife Barrington-Harer from Canton as Ivy Weston, Jennifer Walsh from Milton as Karen Weston, J. Michael Whalen from Weymouth as Bill Fordham, Ashley Harmon from Hyde Park as Jean Fordham, Christopher Crossen-Sills as Steve Heidebrecht, Renee Carlson from Brockton as Mattie Fae aiken, Rich Morton from Walpole as Charlie Aiken, David Palmer from Milton as “Little” Charles Aiken, Kelly Lane from Braintree as Johnna Monevata and Jon Cattel from Marion as Sheriff Deon Gilbeau .
