Canton Fire Department Recognizes EMT and Paramedic

These two members are earning high marks on the CFD.

These two are making the grade. Firefighter Chris Whitley received the honors of being the EMT of the Quarter and Leo Reardon received the honors of Paramedic of the Quarter in Canton.

"The two achieved the highest scores from our quality control program among their peers," Canton Fire said. "The quality control program reviews all runs performed by the Canton Fire (Department's) ambulances to insure that the highest level of care is given to the community."

The EMT and paramedic were evaluated on their scores, which factored in a total number of runs (or medical calls the ambulance responded to,) the medical skills they performed, keeping their proper documentation of patient care and feedback from patients and hospital staff.
