Canton Girl Killed by Falling Tree Branch

CANTON, MA - A 6-year-old girl from Canton has died after getting pinned by a falling tree.

The incident took place around 2 p.m. on Indian Lane. A neighbor performed CPR on the girl until paramedics arrived, according to WCVB.

The girl, identified as Kaleigh Kenyon, was transported to Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, according to CBS Boston.

According to the Canton Police Department, the branch was 30-35 feet long and fell due to the heavy snow sitting on the tree.

Falling trees and wires due to heavy snow have been a common occurrence during Friday’s storm. Friday afternoon, the Canton Police Department urged residents to stay inside.
