Canton Home Invasion: Resident Allegedly Pistol Whipped, 3 Suspects Sought

Police say three men allegedly entered the home and pistol whipped an elderly man before fleeing.

CANTON, MA – Police in Canton are investigating a reported home invasion on the northeast side of town Tuesday morning during which one of the residents was allegedly attacked. The home invasion was reported around 11 a.m. near Stoughton and Route 138.

The three suspects, described as Hispanic males wearing hoodies – two blue and one black – allegedly entered the home of an elderly man and his wife. Two of the suspects were carrying weapons, and the male resident was pistol whipped, police said. He was taken to the hospital with "serious but non-life-threatening" injuries to his head.

The suspects fled the area in what is believed to be a Chrysler Pacifica with four people inside. A motive has not yet been determined, police said.

Police in Canton are working with Boston detectives to identify the suspects, as it is believed a similar crime took place in Boston within the past month.
