Canton Man Faces Gun, Heroin Distribution Charges

Boston Police said they pulled over the suspect after seeing him conduct a drug deal.

BOSTON, MA — A Canton man was arrested after Boston Police said he was caught with two unlicensed and loaded guns, and with a bag of heroin.

Brandon Barrett, 30 was charged with heroin possession with intent to distribute,two counts of unlawful firearm possession, and two counts of unlawful possession of ammunition.

Around 3:25 p.m., on Thursday, police said they pulled over Barrett near Truman Parkway in Hyde Park after watching him conduct a drug deal. Police searched the car and said they seized two loaded handguns and a bag of heroin packaged for sale.

Barrett was arraigned in West Roxbury District Court on Thursday. His bail was set at $20,000.
