CANTON, MA — A Canton man is being praised for turning adversity into triumph.
During the Boston Celtics' April 5 game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Stephen Teague was honored for what can only be described as a remarkable recovery.
In 1993, Teague was involved in a traumatic accident causing severe limb damage to his right arm. Treated at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Stephen underwent a dozen surgeries before he recovered. Since the accident, Teague has channeled his love of running to pay it forward by raising funds to advance trauma research and care for the Gillian Reny Stepping Strong Center for Trauma Innovation.
