Canton Native, CHS Graduate Dies at 97
Parker was born in Canton in 1915 and graduated Boston University's College of Liberal Arts. Services will be held on Monday, March 25, in Milton.

Eleanor Louise Parker, 97, of Dover, Delaware, passed away March 15 at home after an illness of several months.
Parker was born in Canton on May 3, 1915 to the late George R. Lowry and Edna Nute Lowry. She was a graduate of Canton High School and Boston University's College of Liberal Arts. She worked in Boston for Lumber Mutual before her marriage to Howard Parker in 1941. The Parker's made their home in Milton for 22 years, where Mrs. Parker worked in the nearby Blue Hills for the Metropolitan District Commission and her husband for Walter Baker & Co.
The Parkers moved to Dover in 1964, when General Foods brought them here. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and the UMW Circle in Dover, the Dover Century Club and Literary Group, the Modern Maturity Center and AARP. Her volunteer work visiting shut-ins was especially important to her.

In addition to her parents and sisters, Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by her husband Howard in 1986. She leaves behind nieces, nephews and many good friends.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, March 25 at Milton Cemetery, in Milton.
