Canton Obituary: William F. Grant, Former Owner of Johnson Cleaners, Dies at 89

Grant also worked as a custodian for the Canton Public Schools until retirement. Services will be held Thursday morning in Canton.

William F. Grant, of Sharon, formerly of Canton, died Tuesday, April 9. He was 89 years old.

Grant was born in Norwood and grew up in Canton. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during W.W.II. and was the owner of “Johnson Cleaners” in Canton for more than 25 years. He later worked as a custodian for the Canton Public Schools until retirement.

Devoted husband of Mary H. Grant (Johnson). Loving father of William F. Grant III and his wife Catherine of Canton and Plymouth N.H. William is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be Thursday morning in the Roache-Pushard Family Funeral Homeat 210 Sherman St. in Canton from 8:30-9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Sorrows Parish Church, 59 Cottage St., in Sharon. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery Canton.
