Canton's 2013 4th of July Itinerary

Canton is celebrating the Fourth of July with a road race, concert and fireworks show.

Canton is going all out this year for their Fourth of July Celebration.

46th Annual July 4th Road Race

The festivities start early with the 46th Annual July 4th Road Race, starting and ending at the Canton Town Club (300 Bailey Street).

Check in is at 8:30 a.m. and race time is 9:30 a.m. 

There is a 5 mile road race for ages 13+ ($10 registration) and a 2 mile fun run for kids ages 2-12 ($5 registration).

The races are a tradition in Canton during Independence festivities.

Concert & Fireworks

The Irish Cultural Center in Canton (off Rt. 138) is hosting an evening celebration on July 4th. 

Starting at 5 p.m. are fun activities for the family - inflatables, face painting, etc. 

At 6:30 p.m. is a concert featuring Classic Trax, and The Wolf Sisters, a Canton Folk Rock Group.

The fireworks, will start at 9 p.m. They are provided by the PyroVision fireworks company, who won the Jupiter Award for the 2012 International Fireworks Competition held in Montreal.

Food and drinks will be available for purchase.
