Discover ways to improve functioning in people with dementia, Tues., Feb. 23
Linda Einis, OT/ATP, returns to the Sharon Public Library on Tues, Feb 23, to discuss ways to improve functioning in people with dementia.

(SHARON, MA) – Occupational therapist Linda Einis, OT/ATP, a specialist in creating and directing activities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, returns to the Sharon Public Library on Tuesday, February 23, for the second in her three-part, Our Partners in Health series. Einis will discuss, Solutions to Activities of Daily Living for people with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia and other forms of memory loss. The free, 90-minute program will examine ways to help increase functioning in different areas of daily living, from getting dressed to taking medications. The talk will be presented in the SPL’s Cynthia B. Fox Community Room at 7:00-8:30 pm.

A veteran occupational therapist with more than 27 years of experience, Einis is also a certified Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) and has created and directed the Adapted Activities Library and Computer Resource at the Wrentham Developmental Center in Waltham. She brings firsthand experience in problem solving and finding ongoing daily living solutions for a parent with dementia living at home.
Einis’s February program will be followed in March by a presentation about Creating Meaningful Activities for People with Alzheimer’s disease, Dementia and other Forms of Memory Loss on Tuesday, March 15, 2016. All OPH programs are free and open to the public.
