School's out, ART is in!
Ages 7 and up. Are your children looking for something fun to do during the Spring Break? Do they love art? If so, then they’re invited to join us at the Museum of American Bird Art for two days of art workshops and a celebration of our current exhibit, Only Owls. Children of various ages can develop their fine art skills, learn about owls, and have fun while doing it.
On Wednesday and Thursday afternoon, children ages 7 and up can come to the museum for exciting arts activities. Only Owls features artworks executed in a variety of two-dimensional techniques, like pencil, charcoal, ink, and watercolor. Children will learn from these techniques seen in the gallery and create their own unique pieces of artwork.
Wednesday - April 10 children will explore the many dimensions of collage. By painting paper, tearing paper, cutting paper, and gluing paper children will create a colorful and beautiful mixed-media owl mosaic collage. $15 members / $20 nonmembers
Thursday - April 11 our activity will focus on the art of puppetry. Children will learn to make a fun bird rod puppet with moving wings. $15 members / $20 nonmembers
