NY singer/songwriter Arlon Bennett will be making his debut performance at the Open Book Coffeehouse in Canton on Saturday, Feb 18th. He'll be accompanied by John Sonntag on guitar.
Arlon Bennett is a storyteller who delivers timeless vignettes and melodies in his own style that recalls Harry Chapin and vintage James Taylor. His latest CD, Summer’s Voice, was selected by Aquarian Weekly as one of the top 10 releases of 2007, and his song “Be the Change” garnered top national airplay. Arlon has been lauded by Noel Stookey ('Paul' from Peter, Paul and Mary) who has chosen him twice to perform in his Music-to-Life concert at the Kerrville Folk Festival.
"Arlon's songs ring true, whether he's writing about the personal or the political. And when he brings those worlds together in "Be the Change," the result is inspiring."
