Child behavior and parenting specialist Bonnie Harris, MS Ed., will present What’s the Meaning of This: Getting a New Perspective on Your Child’s Behavior, a presentation that will guide parents in the discovery of why both they and their children behave and respond the way they do. She will help parents establish better modes of communication and interaction with their families.
Bonnie’s Connective Parenting method serves as a reservoir from which parents can draw, even in the heat of the moment, instead of choosing a knee-jerk reaction. If parents understand that their child wants to cooperate and wants to succeed, but only gets off track when an obstacle derails him, they can be more effective parents. Bonnie will help parents learn to connect and interact in a way that engages their child’s innate sense of fairness and logic.
