Orchard Cove geriatrician Jennifer Brinckerhoff, MD, presents doctor's view of healthy aging, Weds., March 23
Learn strategies for balancing medical issue with quality of life while focusing on function, independence at this free community program.
(SHARON, MA) – Geriatrician Jennifer Brinckerhoff, MD, will present the second part of Orchard Cove’s three-part series on wellness and health for aging adults at the Sharon Council on Aging, 219 Massapoag Avenue, Sharon, on Wednesday, March 23, from 12:00 – 1:30 pm. The 90-minute interactive talk, presented in partnership with the Sharon Public Library and the Our Partners in Health (OPH) collaborative, is titled, Healthy Aging: A Geriatrician’s Perspective. It will examine effective strategies for balancing medical issues with quality of life while focusing on function and independence. The program is free and open to the public.
A trained internist and specialist in meeting the unique healthcare needs of older adults, Brinckerhoff earned her medical degree at the University of Virginia School of Medicine and completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in geriatrics, both at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. A staff physician at Orchard Cove in Canton, she is board certified in internal medicine and geriatric medicine.

Brinckerhoff’s program will be followed on Monday, April 25, by a presentation by Orchard Cove Gerontological Nurse Practitioner Karen Dick, PhD, who will discuss Brain Fitness for the Aging Adult. The program will be held at the Sharon Council on Aging at 1:00 pm.
