Gov. Baker Nominates Canton Attorney To Parole Board

BOSTON, MA — Gov. Charlie Baker on Wednesday nominated Attorney Gloriann Moroney, of Canton, to the state parole board. The board is the state's authority on granting and supervising parole. The seven member board is appointed by the governor with the advice of the governor's council.

Moroney has 14 years of experience, serving as assistant district attorney in the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office. She also has two years of experience working with the parole board as general counsel and most recently as the executive director.

“Attorney Moroney’s experience in the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office and leadership roles with the Massachusetts Parole Board have prepared her well for a position on the board,” said Governor Charlie Baker. “I am pleased to submit her nomination to the Governor’s Council for their advice and consent.”
