Local Orthodontists Extends 'Thank You' Courtesy Discount to Municipal Employees

To show their deep appreciation for the hard work and dedication of town employees at every level, ARCH Orthodontics is offering a 5% Professional Courtesy Discount to municipal workers and their immediate families who start an Orthodontic treatment program by July 1, 2016.

The offer for new patients includes teachers and School Department staffs along with all other town departments in towns where ARCH has offices, including Stoughton, Bridgewater, Brockton, Canton, Hyde Park, Randolph, and on Cape Cod in Hyannis and Orleans.

Dr. Robert Chavez, who founded ARCH 42 years ago in Stoughton, says, “We don’t want anyone who would benefit from Orthodontic care to miss out. For children, there’s usually a window of opportunity to begin a treatment regimen. It’s important to give kids as much support as possible to build self-confidence. Orthodontics often plays a critical role.” He notes that experts agree that age 7 is the ideal time for children to have their initial check-up with an Orthodontist, although treatment usually doesn’t begin until a few years later.

Dr. Chavez’s son, Dr. Andrew Chase, says their practice is seeing an increasing number of people in their 30s, 40s and older who want to correct spacing or alignment issues: “While many are focused on comfort and function, some come for aesthetics, such as brides and bridesmaids planning for weddings and photos six months in advance. Dr. Chase says patients range in age from 5 to 85, and today about 25% of braces patients are adults. Many patients are referred by their general dentists to help address periodontal disease, tooth loss, and TMJ disorders that can cause severe jaw pain and headaches, sometimes resulting from tooth misalignment
